DWLL is split up into the following divisions:

Quickball teaches the game in a whole new way. Fast-paced, active, and inclusive, Quickball grabs the attention of young players and lets them learn without being bored or intimidated. What makes Quickball such a successful program is its action-packed curriculum and developmentally-appropriate equipment. Regardless of size, shape or age, any player can compete and succeed in Quick Baseball games! Rookies Division:
7U & 8U – Players will learn the fundamentals of team play on a full-size diamond using a smaller 11” softball. Coaches pitch to batters until later in the season when some player pitch is introduced. There is no stealing. Games are 6 innings with a 5 run maximum per inning, to keep the game moving, and a 1.5-hour limit on the game itself. Although a win or loss is generally known, official score is not kept so that the environment is focused #1 Having Fun & #2 Player Development. Rookies will generally have 2-3 league events per week (between Practice & Games) Players are selected to represent Downingtown West Little League in the District 28 Little League All Star Tournament. (Early/ Mid June)
Minors Division:
9U & 10U – Players will bat against player pitchers using an 11” ball with coaches assisting to minimize walks. Limited base stealing and walks in the first half of the season are followed by full base stealing in the second half. Games are 6 innings with a 2-hour time limit. Minors will generally have 2-3 league events per week (between Practice & Games) The regular season officially runs from April 1 to May 31. Players are selected to represent Downingtown West Little League in the District 28 Little League All Star Tournament (Late June/ Early July). The Winner of the District Tournament advances to play in Sectionals against the other District Champions in Little League Section 7 Eastern PA. (Mid July) The Winner of the Sectionals advances to the PA State Tournament. (Late July) The Winner of the PA State Tournament advances to the Final Round of 10U at the Eastern Regional Tournament. (Late July/ Early August)
Majors Division:
11U & 12U – Players use a 12” ball and unrestricted rules. Games are 6 innings with a 2-hour time limit. Majors will generally have 2-3 league events per week (between Practice & Games) The regular season officially runs from April 1 to May 31. Players are selected to represent Downingtown West Little League in the District 28 Little League All Star Tournament (Mid/ Late June). The Winner of the District Tournament advances to play in Sectionals against the other District Champions in Little League Section 7 Eastern PA. (Early July) The Winner of the Sectionals advances to the PA State Tournament. (Mid July) The Winner of the PA State Tournament advances to the Eastern Regional Tournament. (Late July) The Winner of Regionals advanced to the Major League World Series. (Early August)
Juniors Division:
13U & 14U – Players use a 12” ball and unrestricted rules. Games are 7 innings with a 2-hour time limit. Juniors will generally have 1-2 league events per week (some Practice, Mostly Games). Little League Challengers Program
The Little League Challenger Division® was founded in 1989, and is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.
Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations, they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4 to 18; or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school. The Senior League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age).
